· Statutory overlay: The Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996


4. Express & Implied Terms in Construction

· Differentiating between express and implied terms

· Legal tests and case examples

· Standard contract clauses and their implied obligations


5. Contract Negotiation & Agreement

· Principles of effective contract negotiation

· Common pitfalls and legal consequences

· Change control and scope management


6. Delays, Extensions & Damages

· Extension of time provisions

· Liquidated and ascertained damages (LADs)

· Constructive acceleration and legal risks


7. Dispute Resolution Methods

· Overview: Adjudication, Mediation, Arbitration, Litigation

· Selecting the most appropriate method

· Understanding pre-agreed clauses in NEC and JCT

Full day on site training (6 hours excluding breaks):


  • £345.00 per person, minimum number of delegates is 6 for this course, the total cost is £2,070.00 (excluding VAT).

  • Additional delegates over the minimum required will be charged at £275.00 per person.
