Who Should Attend?
Any worker who uses or works around abrasive wheels in the UK must receive adequate training.
This includes workers who operate grinding machines, cut-off machines, and other tools that use abrasive wheels.
Employers have a legal duty to provide this training to their employees.

Pre-Requisites
There are no pre-requisites to book, but the course content specifies what equipment you will need to bring to your training.
Aims
Our abrasive wheel course will create awareness of the hazards associated with working with abrasive wheels.
Objectives
To ensure that operators have the information and skills necessary to allow for the safe use of abrasive wheels. This training is an important part of accident prevention, and it helps to protect both the operators and those around them.
Course Content
Handling and transporting abrasive wheels and discs
Selecting and testing new grinding wheels and discs
Fitting abrasive wheels and disc cutters
Replacement and adjustment of guards and work rests
Dressing of abrasive wheels
Compliance with safety requirements in respect of the regulations
The correct use of PPE
All Training materials will be supplied on the day, however Candidate MUST bring FULL PPE:
Hard Hat
Goggles
Face Mask
Gloves
Boots
Full Award Assessment
On Completion you will receive a certificate of competency from ABS training.
